Dan Yates
Head Professional
Dan is a fully qualified PGA Professional with over 10 years’ experience, having been employed at a range of clubs across the UK, including Kings Norton and The Belfry.
Dan commenced his journey as a junior golfer in Nottinghamshire, and after completing his secondary education, embarked on a 2-year intensive golf program at Lincoln college where he honed his golf game, competing in events all over the country whilst excelling academically achieving a national diploma in sports performance and excellence.
This participation in golfing events has continued throughout his career, which has seen him compete in PGA Professional competitions within the UK and overseas, where he has represented his club at various levels, including Pro-Am’s, which he has organised and managed.
Dan prides himself on delivering first class tuition and has helped improve hundreds of players games, from beginners through to elite golfers, using a wealth of knowledge, experience, and modern technology to its fullest, in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Being approachable and confident in manner, makes him relatable to all regardless of ability.
Dan is thrilled and delighted to have been appointed to the role as the head club professional, commencing on the 1st of February, and is eager to integrate himself into the wider team, and to introduce himself to the members over the coming weeks.
Ryan Corbett
Junior Development Coach & PGA Professional
Ryan has worked Worcestershire for over 9 years and gained full PGA qualification in may 2020. Over the years Ryan has significantly developed the Junior Coaching at the Club and created the Elgar Junior Academy introducing a structure program of coaching through 12 months of the year. Ryan also works closely with the Junior Organiser in managing our Junior Team which currently compete in the Junior Mercian League. Ryan also teaches his own Ladies Pathway Group and is very passionate about developing golfers of all ages and abilities at the club.
Ryan has developed a wealth of experience over the years in both tuition development programs and golf operations and is an integral part of the Pro Shop team and the Worcestershire Golf Club.
